Role of Science and Technology during a Global Pandemic

COVID-19, a global epidemic, has caused us to change the way we work, educate, and
communicate to one another. We now have an enemy that we cannot see.How can we combat
such an invisible villain? The only way to know more about it is to study and learn what it is ,
what it does to exist and what is its' main weaknesses. And what will be the alternative
approach we need to continue communicate with our family, relatives, teachers,co-workers
without being infected or become carrier of virus.
In dealing with the repercussions of the global pandemic COVID-19, science and technology
have played an important role. For example, thermal scanner and computed tomography
scanning has now become a required evaluation for all patients, including those suspected of
having a virus and people who came in and out from places with many people. By quickly
detecting new and suspected cases and close relationships, sophisticated information
technology improved epidemiological investigation efficiency, maintained the safety and
mobility of healthy people through digital tracking, and raised the accuracy of epidemic trend
projection through advanced analytics.
The technological obstacles of allowing the maximum number of individuals to work remotely
and giving possibilities for distant learning so that students can continue to learn from their
professional teachers have been substantial and must be considered at this time.Citizens are
promptly informed or equipped with knowledge about events in our surroundings via radio and
television. People can connect safely and freely by avoiding face-to-face communication and
fulfilling their social needs through the internet, computers and other technological gadgets..
 International science community must continue to contribute to the development of scientific
and technological innovations, not only to successfully combat the COVID-19 pandemic but also
to be proactive for the future.
