Pre-reading 30 mins Activity: Guess the Picture
 The teacher will present pictures
with short/a/ and long
/a/sounds and students will
guess the picture.
 The teacher will ask:
What have you noticed with the
sounds of the words you have
guessed?
 The teacher will introduce to
students the sounds to be
discussed.
During 120 mins  The teacher will introduce words
Reading with short /a/ and long /a/
sounds.
 Let the students read the words
presented.
 After reading the words, the
teacher will present phrases,
sentences, and short story with
short /a/ and long /a/ sounds
and let the students read.
Post-reading 30 mins  The students will answer the
comprehension questions based
on the short story read.
 The teacher will ask of what the
story is all about or the moral
lesson of the story.
 The teacher will ask for example
words with short /a/ and
long /a/ sounds.
