Subject : MEDIA AND INFORMATION LITERACY

I. Objectives

At the end of the lesson the Grade 12 students are expected to:

 Explain the responsible use of media


 Perform a short oral recitation
 Participate actively during the video presentation
 Appreciate the importance of media in our daily lives

II. Subject Matter


Lesson: Evaluating Media Sources

Materials: LED tv, laptop, Bluetooth speaker, black marker, metastrip,

Motivation: Question Analysis

 The teacher will present a series of probing questions to the


students.
A. Activity

 The class will be divided into two groups. Group 1 will be given the
Negative Effects of Religion. Group to will be given the Postive
Effects of Religion.

The teacher will process the group activity performed by the


students and will relate it to the discussion about the Positive and
Negative Effects of Religion.

C. Abstraction:
 The teacher will ask the following:
What are the roles of the local government unit in the basic
services?

D. APPLICATION:

 In a pad of paper, make a basic venn diagram showing your


explanation about the roles of the local government unit in the basic
services.

IV. EVALUATION:
 The teacher will conduct an individual oral recitation in which the
student will narrate his or her own experienced in using media.
Note: (Please see the Rubric provided)

V. ASSIGNMENT:
 Make a poster showing the impact of the positive effects of media
to oneself and to the society.
 Use a long size bondpaper, landscape. Make sure that it will look
like a true artwork.
 A rubric for poster making will be given as basis.
