Differentiate between intrinsic and extrinsic motivation

(suppose your response with practical examples)

· IINTRINSIC: motivation comes from within ,while extrinsic motivation arises from
external factors.when you are intrinsically motivated , you engage in an activity
because you enjoy it and get personal satisfication from doing it.when you are
extrinsically motivated , you do something in order to gain an external reward.for
example :an employee who learns new skill for personal development is intrinsically
motivated , but someone who learns new skill to earn a promotion is extrinsically
motivated.

. Intrinsic motivation is driven by internal factors , such as personal enjoyment , satisfcation

or inherent interest in the activity for example: consider a student who is passionate about
literature .they read books not for grades or rewards ,but because the genuinely love
exploring different genres and authors. the joy of reading it self is the driving force that
makes intrinsic.when we look extrinsic motivation , it is about motivation comes from
external factors, like rewards , punishment , recognition, rather than inherent enjoyment of
task.for example: an employee working extra hours to earn performance bonus is motivated
extrinsically the external reward or bonus serve as a tangible incentive and with out it , the
motivation to put extra effort might diminish.

. when we look two motivation in class room setting example:

A. Intrinsic: a student who engages in a science project out of sheer curiosity and
interest in the subject.

B. Extrinsic: a student who studies diligently receive a gold star or praise from the
teacher.

.when we look two motivations in proffetional environment :

A. Intrinsic: an employee who takes on a challenging project because they find it

intellectually stimulating and personally rewarding.

B. Extrinsic: an employee who completes tasks promptly to receive a year_end

bonus or promotion.

_Intrinsic motivation is about doing of an activity for its inherent satisfaction rather than for
some separable consequence . which means intrinsically motivated , a person is moved to
act for the fun or challenge entailed rather than because of external product , pressures or
rewards.in brief way intrinsic motivation, the incentive for engaging in a behavior or
completing a task is performing the task itself.extrinsic motivation about when someone feels
motivated to do something to gain reward or avoid a punishment.for example: grades,
rewards,praise,punishment,public recognition....etc
