I. LEARNING OBJECTIVES
At the end of this session, the learners are able to:
a. discuss the rules in subject verb agreement;
b. analyze the correct form of the verb in the sentence;
c. supply the correct form of the verb to complete the sentence;
d. construct sentences applying the rules of subject – verb agreement; and
e. be obedient in following certain rules for it will yield a better life.

The subject and the verb in a sentence must both be singular (referring to
one) or plural (referring to more than one). That is called subject verb- agreement.
To check that these two parts of a sentence agree, first decide whether the subject
is singular or plural. Then, make the verb match the subject.
