1 Welcome Remarks and opening Meeting was chaired by Caroline Phiri-International
prayer Director of Projects (IDP) in OAU. She started the
meeting by welcoming all members and urged them to
participate actively during the meeting. Thereafter she
asked Kristen Yakhama-Executive Fundraising
member to open with a word of prayer
2 Introductions The IDP then asked the team to introduce themselves
since it was the first meeting so as to know each other.
3 How to fundraise for the  Members discussed and agreed that all OAU
organisation members in all countries and those members
who are at international level should be
contributing a monthly/yearly contribution for
the organisation. This will enhance ownership
and sustainability of the organisation

 A form should be designed for membership
contributions and members will be issued
receipts after contributions
 Contributions from members should start in
January 2021 and all the money shall be
deposited into OAU account
 Members will be well sensitized in advance
about the membership contributions
 Country representatives will assist the
International Executive committee in collecting
the membership contribution for their country
and deposit into OAU account
 Links are available and will be shared on the
Fundraising forum, a google link will be shared
at the forum so that all links pertaining to
donors will be shared through the link
 Members also agreed that donors should not be
dictating us in terms of implementation so that
we don’t lose focus
 To start developing proposals as soon as
possible.

 Caroline thanked members who participated
during the meeting and urged them to do
always. Kitala thanked Caroline for
coordinating the meeting thereafter Kristen
closed a meeting with a prayer
 Date of next meeting will be announced as soon
 as possible.
