 A. ABOUT OUR SCHOOL
- DESCRIPTION
Susteran junior high is a popular catholic school in
Purwokerto, it serves many subjects, proximately
around 12 subjects, Susteran Junior High applies
the”moving class” system, which means one class for
one subject, Susteran junior high teaches 3 languages
which are : chinese, english , and indonesian.

- LOCATION
Susteran junior is located at Gatot Subroto street,
number 44, purwokerto, central java. Gatot Subrorto
street is a very strategic street with around 4 schools
including: SMA 1 , SMA 2 , bruderan junior high and
many more.

- VISION AND MISSION

- The vision of susteran junior high :
“ Qualified education service to develope the
personalities full, smart, and loving the truth.”
- The mission of susteran junor high :
1. To develop PPD learnings with active and fun
methods.

2. To develop a culture of achievement academicly

and non academicly.

3. To develop language and communication skills.

 B. FACILITIES
Susteran Junior High has many usefull facilities, including:

1. LIBRARY
The library at Susteran Junior High is wide and long, it
has a large colletion of books, for example, novels,
children books, biographies, education books, and
many more.

2. CANTEEN
The canteen in susteran junor high has a wide
foundation so the students have a lot of space to eat, it
also sells a wide variety of food from yellow rice, fried
rice, fried noodles, biscuits, snacks, and more.

 3. COPERATION
The coperation in Susteran sells a lot of utilities for
students like, pencils, pens, books, notebooks, school
uniform, erasers, subject books, and another utilities
the students need.

4. BIOLOGY LAB
A laboratorium for the Biology subject the room is
large it has a lot of Biology relateDitems,etc.

 5. PHYSICS LAB
Just like the biology lab, the physics lab is also large,
and is also used for the biology subject.

6. COMFORTABLE CLASSROOMS
Susteran Junior High has many classrooms, there are
classrooms on every floor and each classrooms is
fasilitated with air conditioner, and quality furnitures.

7. HALL
The hall is used by the school sometimes for
ceremonies, P.E, and random events.

 8. AUDIOVISUAL ROOM
The audiovisual room is often used by the school to tell
announcements about special events and some
meetings.

9. BASKETBALL COURT
A standard sized basketball court right next to the
ceremony field.

10. CEREMONY FIELD

The ceremony field is used for ceremonies and P.E, it
is located next to the basketball court.

 C. PROGRAMS
1. EXTRACURRICULAR ACTIVITIES
Susteran Junior High school has a lot of fun extraculliculars
which some of them are:
A. BADMINTON
This extracullicular, is held on every Tuesdays and is held
in the hall of Susteran Junior High.
B. JOURNALISTIC
This extracullicular is held every Thursday, in this
extracullicular you can learn to write newspapers poems
and many more!
C. MMC
This extracullicular is held every Thursday, it is held on
the computer lab, in this extracullicular you can learn to
edit videos and other programming and computer related
lessons.
D. BASKETBALL
The basketball extracullicular is one of the most popular
extracullicular in susteran junior high, it is held every
Monday and Wednesday.

 E. SCOUTS
The scouts is must be followed by all 7 grade students
It is held every Friday on the ceremony field and is also
one of the requirements to pass the class.

F. ENGLISH ,SCIENCE ,MATH, social studies

TRAINING CENTRE
The training centre extracullicular is held every Monday ,
there are four sections of the training centre
extracullicular, science, english, math, and social studies
which are located on different classes and is guided by
each of the subjects teachers.

G.BAND
This extracullicular is held every Wednesday in the music
studio, here you are divided into bands and may attend in
contests on special events.

 2. LIVE IN
This program is held every year for all 8th grade students
around the beginning of the second semester that all students
must attempt, this program lasts for five days in a certain
village that is well selected so the students wont feel sad.
From this event the students will learn to be responsible,
and more independent.

 3. RETREAT
This program is held for all 7 graders, this event only lasts
for 2 days, it is held on “ hening griya “ from this program
the students can get closer to god and learn to behave
themselves.

4. A.M.T
this program is held for all 9 graders and is also held in
hening griya, just like retreat this program can make
students better behaved.

5. SAINT DOMINIC CUP

This program is held every four years in any sekected school
in the saint dominic foundation, in this event a series of
competitions are held.

 D.ACHIEVEMENTS
Here are a few achievements that our students have made in the
past

1. Achieved rank number 7 on the highest national test in the

Banyumas province in 2015
And rank number 6 in 2016.

2. Erwin Wibowo, achieved a silver medal in the IJSO in 2008

3. Stephen Heniel, achieved a gold medal in the IJSO in

Taiwan in 2007.
