Find all the preposition that are listed below. Words can be horizontally or vertically.

Using the “Spin the Wheel” the teacher will call pupils who will guess the correct
preposition shown in the presentation.

Looking Around
It was Saturday morning. Ate Tintin and Tonton were playing in front of their
house. It was Ate Tintin’s turn. Tonton needed to hide two balls and Ate Tintin would
have to look for those. He started hiding the balls as Ate counts one to ten. He hid the
first ball beside a green vase. The second ball is behind a hollow block. “Ready?”
Ate Tintin asked. “Go!” Tonton answered. Ate Tintin started looking around to find
the balls. She found the first ball easily because it is just hidden beside the vase. It
took her 2 minutes finding the second ball because it was hidden at a best hiding
place, which is behind the hollow block. Ate Tintin was so happy. It was fun playing
with his younger brother Tonton.
3. Discussion
Discuss the preposition beside and in front of.
The words on, in, over, under, in front of, and beside are prepositions. A
preposition is a word that shows the relationship between a pronoun or a noun and
another word in the sentence. It is a position word that tells directions
The boy is beside the chair.
Where is the boy?
Answer: beside the chair
4. Activities
Integration: Health
There are pasted printed pictures under the arm of the pupils’ chair and sentences
describing each picture. The pupil who has the printed picture will post the picture
under the correct preposition and the pupil who has the sentence will post the written
sentence under its corresponding picture.

Prepositions tell the location of a thing, person and animal. Some of them are most
frequently used or appearing in the sentence. These are the following:

in front of means close to the front
behind means at the back
