The Meaning Of Time Management From Any Sources

Demirdağ, S. (2020)

Time is something that everyone can't sense. Time is a necessary concept in which people
need to know its value for their lives. By having a consciousness about the value of time, it can
help to balance their lives.
Not everyone has the skill to manage time and to be aware of how important managing
their free time should be to do productive activities. As students, having time management skills
will improve motivation, performance, and academic outcomes.

Irwansyah R., Ary M., Istiqomah N. (2021)

The ability to manage time helps students manage their time and in selecting priority
assignments so that they can work more focused and finish their work timely. In optimizing time
management skills, students as early as possible will have to get used to setting goals and
priorities, making plans and arranging schedules for every activity, managing time allotment,
using time efficiently, and being consistent in implementing time management in working on
their academic tasks.

Wong, L. (2014) - Chapter 4

As a student, time management has a purpose to balance school, work, and other
activities by focusing on personal goals, needs, and interests. We need time management because
if we don't manage our time well it can cause imbalances that lead to frustration, low
productivity, resentment, confusion, and lack of motivation. Identify areas lacking enough time
and manage time effectively to achieve goals and create a more productive and rewarding life.

Cottrell, S. (2019) - Page 123

What does time management mean for a student? Time management is when students can
place their priority scale very well and can use their time as best and usefully as possible.
Because when they manage to organize their time well, they will get what they need very well.
Time management is a key to success for all students, why? Because with time management, we
can do activities more structured and know what is more important or urgent. The two keys of
"How much time I spend in the study" and " How well I use that time", give us choice in how we
spend the time saved, like doing assignments and preparing for exams with more professionals,
having spend time with family, and entertain ourself enough. By taking the time well, we can be
successful and orderly students.
There are many quotes or proverbs that are related to managing time and success.
Such as, the Western proverb says, "Time is money" or like the Arabic proverb says, "Time is
like a sword if you don't cut it down it will cut you".
Good time management skills are essential and significantly related to reach every goal.
Focus on time management so that you have maximum control over where the time goes. For
each study brief you are set, look for your own angle. If you are required to work with others as
part of your course, take charge of your own contribution: consider what kind of constructive
role you could take within that group and play an active part. If you feel that your time is under
pressure, or you suspect that you waste time that could be better spent on other things, then it is
worth developing your time awareness and time-management skills.

Team Leverage Edu. (2023)

Time management for students is organizing and planning their time between the tasks
they have to complete, by managing their time effectively students can not only meet their work
but also give themselves enough time for themselves.
Our Perspective As A Student On Time Management

Time management is an ability to manage or organize their time well. The purpose is to
balance between college and after-college activities. Time management is not just for activities,
“Me-time” is also very important (time to relax ourselves). It’s also related to goal-setting skills
and benefits lifelong skills which are in many fields such as academic, professional career, and
personal life. We think the most difficulty to adapt this skill to innateness is commonly a lack of
consistency (discipline). Besides that, We as Gen Z always love and are very close to
procrastination. Adjusting to change is not always an easy process. It takes more time and
learning process to change and to make it a daily routine.
