Writing Activity: Claims
Global Issues Claims

[Esclamado, Vhinz Gamble]

Claim:
Lack of infrastructure or technological
investment to extract water from rivers,
aquifers, or other water sources, or
inadequate human ability to meet the
demand for water, are the main causes of
economic water shortage. People cannot
Water Shortage access enough water to consume, bathe,
or feed crops when there is a water
shortage, which may result in economic
loss.

[Maalihan, Nathaniel Zedrick]

Claim:
A war can be described as extreme
violence and can cause destruction to
people. Clearly, a war is something to be
prevented and shall not happen within
any means. That is why people should try
to fix things by properly communicating as
much as possible. Although, the claim in
the picture is debatable and arguable
because they may only be performing the
testing of weapons instead of fighting in a
War war. One reason that I have said this is
because of the fact that there were no
enemies seen in the picture portraying
attacks on the soldiers. Thus, I identify
this as unclear and the details seen were
not enough to prove that this is a war
between men.
[Macaraig, Elysa]

Claim:
Malnutrition can be connected
to poverty as it causes the inability to
provide and create sufficient food for a
family or group of people. Other
causes may be but are not limited to,
socioeconomic status and conflict
within the country. Underdeveloped or
Malnutrition third-world countries are the most
prone to malnutrition.

[Gutierrez, Venice]

Claim:

Reading comprehension disorder is

a reading disability in which a person has
trouble understanding the meaning of
words and passages of writing.
Sometimes, a reading comprehension
disorder is diagnosed by specialists as a
specific reading comprehension deficit.
The claim can be debatable and arguable
since there are a lot of solutions that we
can consider in order to cure the causes
of the disorder.
