3.0 Water analysis

a) pH: pH level was within control limit most of the time.

b) TDS: TDS(Total Dissolved Solids) level were below high control limit most of
the time.

c) H. Alkalinity: Hydrate Alkalinity level was within control limit on par with pH.

d) T.Hardness: Total hardness was above high control limit due to hardness breakthrough
but start reduce at the end of time.

6.0 Conclusion:

1. Some old scale still can observed especially at the bottom part of the fire tubes
and drum.

2. Old corrosion can observed at the boiler.

3. Water level in the boiler has always been fluctuated through the time.

7.0 Recommendation:

1. Continuous to maintain a good pre-treatment by control hardness of boiler

feed water (hardness < 1.0 ppm) to prevent hardness breakthrough in softener,
it is recommended to conduct backwash and regen activity for softener once
every week.

2. Feed water temperature recommended to be at 80 oC to 100oC, to have better

removal of the dissolved oxygen to control the corrosion problem.

3. Use sufficient dosage of oxygen scavenger chemical (bmSOLUTION® BL105)

and pH & alkalinity booster chemical ( bmSOLUTION® BL210) to maintain at
proper pH level (pH > 10.5) in order to have better control of corrosion.

4. Follow the parameters control to get better monitoring.
