Let us first define what. I.C.T.

I.C.T. is Information and Communication Technologies

(ICTs) is a broader term for Information Technology (IT),
which refers to all communication technologies, including
the internet, wireless networks, cell phones, computers,
software. middleware. video conferencing, social
networking, and other media applications and services
enabling users to access, retrieve, store, transmit, and
manipulate information in a digital form.

In which, I.C.T. is connected into health & fitness, (Students are listening)
communication, business, studying, researching, leisure
and socializing.

So, in health and fitness, its connection to ICT can help

improve patient safety through the direct access to the
medical case story, checking the treatments online,
keeping track of the patients' progress and anticipating
possible medical errors. In general terms, they are
regarded as generally positive tools among professionals
and users. In which in communication, we can easily
contact our family. friends and love one's by the use of
gadgets. In business, ICT makes a business more
efficient, effective and promptly respond to customers'
needs. It can assist business activities including design,
manufacturing. R&D, distribution and sales and feedback.
Whereas in studying, we can surf into any trusted cites to
look something that connect into our lessons, we can
study in advance and figure things out. Somewhat in
researching, we can look for many articles that connected
into our studies. And then in leisure and socializing, we
sometimes used used YouTube YouTube for videos in our
vacant time, then, Facebook in socializing, making friends

Wikis, Blogs, Videos and audio conferencing are some of

the most common applications available via internet.
Whereas computers can create, store, and manage critical
information.
What is Wiki?

WIKI- a website where anyone can edit anything, anytime

they want. A collaborative writing project. Most well-
known site for wikis is: www.wikipedia.com- an online
encyclopedia.

The term wiki comes from the ward wikiwiki which

means "quick" in Hawaiian. The first wiki was created by
Ward Cunningham in 1995, an American computer
programmer who developed the first wiki.

Wikiqoute, Wikibooks, Wikiversity, Wikitravel,
Wikispecies and Wikinews.

BLOG also known as weblog, is a personal online journal

that contains short entries written and updated by an
individual called BLOGGER. It is similar to a traditional
journal or diary entry where author can write and viewers
can comment. What you write in a blog goes in
Chronological order. A blog includes text, images,
hyperlinks of websites, and video, audio and other files.

VIDEO AND AUDIO CONFERENCING also called

teleconferencing, is an online meeting wherein two or
more people can see, hear, and talk to each other using
computer networks to send audio and video data in real

What are the safe and responsible manner in using the

wiki and blog?

1. Be truthful in your content. Write only what is based on

facts and real-life experience and not on fiction.

2. Avoid using words that are offensive to people in

general.
3. Do not attack personalities. Give respect to people no
matter what they do or say.

4. Plan the content of your wiki carefully. Cite reliable

and recognized sources if you are to edit some parts of the
content of another writer or author.

5. Give credit where credit is due. Cite those who acted as

resource persons to your wiki content.

6. Post pictures in your blog that is safe and pleasant to

look at by young and old people.
