I. OBJECTIVES

A. Content Standards:
 Demonstrate knowledge and skills in the safe and responsible
use of Wikis, blogs and audio conferencing tools.
B. Performance Standards:
After the discussion the students should be able to:
 Demonstrate knowledge and skills in the safe and responsible
use of Wikis, blogs and audio conferencing tools.
C. Learning Competencies:
 Posts and share materials on wikis in a safe and responsible
manner.
 Posts and share materials on blogs in a safe and responsible
manner.
 Participates in video and audio conferences in a safe and
responsible manner.
D. Learning Outcomes:
At the end of the 1 hour period, the students should be able to:
a) Appreciate the safe and responsible use of ICT through
making a poster slogan.
b) Define the importance of being safe and responsible users in
ICT.
c) Make an infrographic about the safe and responsible manner.

safety through the direct access to the medical
case story, checking the treatments online,
keeping track of the patients' progress and
anticipating possible medical errors. In general
terms, they are regarded as generally positive
tools among professionals and users. In which
in communication, we can easily contact our
family, friends and love one’s by the use of
gadgets. In business, ICT makes a business
more efficient, effective and promptly respond
to customers ‘needs. It can assist business
activities including design, manufacturing,
R&D, distribution and sales and feedback.
Whereas in studying, we can surf into any
trusted cites to look something that connect
into our lessons, we can study in advance and
figure things out. Somewhat in researching,
we can look for many articles that connected
into our studies. And then in leisure and
socializing, we sometimes used YouTube for
videos in our vacant time, then, Facebook in
socializing, making friends. Wikis, Blogs,
Videos and audioconferencing are some of the
most common applications available via
internet. Whereas computers can create, store,
and manage critical information.

What is Wiki? WIKI- a website where anyone

canedit anything, anytime they want. A
collaborativewriting project. Most well-known
site for wikis is:www.wikipedia.com- an
online encyclopedia.

Wiki History The term wiki comes from the

wordwikiwiki which means “quick” in
Hawaiian. The firstwiki was created by Ward
Cunningham in 1995, an American computer
programmer who developedthe first wiki.

BLOG- also known as weblog, is apersonal

online journal that contains short
entrieswritten and updated by an individual
calledBLOGGER. It is similar to a traditional
journal or diary entry where author can write
and viewers cancomment. What you write in a
blog goes inChronological order. A blog
includes text, images,hyperlinks of websites,
and video, audio and other files.
