A. Learning Competency Analyze intention of words or expressions used in propaganda techniques. EN8V-

Objectives:
1. Identify the different propaganda techniques;
2. Evaluate the words and expressions as tools used in propaganda
techniques;
3. Demonstrate the importance of understanding the intentions of words
used in a propaganda;
Game Mechanics
1. The class will be divided into 4 groups.
2. Each group will receive pieces of paper and a marker.
3. The task of the group is to guess the name of the television commercial based
on the tagline that will be flashed on the screen.
First group will be called DAUNTLESS. These students are silent, but brave and
skillful especially in the field of sports.
Second group will be called CANDOR. These students are honest resourceful and
talented in terms of singing and dancing.
Third group will be AMITY. These students are patient, dedicated, hardworking
and loyal.
Fourth group will be called ERUDITE. These students are intelligent, wise and
creative.
Show the score board to the students and explain the mechanics that every
question that is answered correctly has corresponding points which will be tallied
at the end of the class, and whoever wins, the faction will be rewarded.

Propaganda
- Is a dissemination of information- facts, arguments, rumors, half-truth or lies to
influence public opinion.
The students will answer the equation to reveal the code and answer the
questions. (same group)

Bandwagon – You are attracted and convinced to use a product or join an activity
because “everyone” is doing it.
Plain Folks – It uses ordinary people as endorsers to show that the product is
being used by usual persons.
Name calling – A technique that persuades you to avail the product or service it
creates against another product or service.
1. The students will be in the same group and will provide ¼ sheet of
paper.
2. Each group will pick products from the box.
3. The students will use the TikTok sound given.
4. They will be given 5 minutes to prepare.
5. The group will be graded based on the given criteria.

1. The students will use the same groupings in the first activity.
2. Each group will think of a local product from their respective area that they
will promote. (inside the classroom)
3. They will promote the chosen product based on the propaganda technique that
they will pick.
4. They will be given 5 minutes to prepare and 1 minute to present their output.
5. They will be graded based on the given criteria below.
Criteria:
(The students will form a straight line and will analyze the propaganda technique
used in the image, individually they are given 3-seconds to answer each item and
the moment the facilitator say “move”, student will proceed or move to the next
chair where the picture of the next item is given.)
