B. Critique a literary piece based on a formalist approach

today, let us take a look at the image of a
spider-web. As we know, spider take a lot
of time to create a perfect web. Also,
spider-web has a symmetrical and unified
structure that catches our interest and
attention.

you are writing is your web.

Analysis:

The following is the formalist critical


approach to the poem:
“I wandered lone as a cloud” wants to
point out the first personal pronoun “I”.
So, the “ subject” is the poet. The verb
“wandered” is a perception and
intellectual one, so the imagination of the
poet could be the action of the poem, the
adjective “lonely” indicates the solitude of
the poet.
The “daffodils” has a rhyming scheme
throughout the poem
The rhyming scheme is ABAB as in:
- Cloud and Crowd
- Hills and Daffodils
- And ending with a rhyming couplet CC -
Trees and Breeze

Procedural Question:
