The divine principle, the active principle of God, if you wish, in action, is

called the Word. In the beginning was the active principle, and the manifestation
of it in form is the truth of who you are. The alignment to this truth is another
matter entirely. You have been gifted with free will. You assume yourself to be as
you want, and you confirm your reality in consort with your fellows, who would in
most cases have you agree with them.
�Oh, look at that terrible thing.� �Look at that lovely man or woman.�
�We will tell you what to desire, who you should be, and what you should agree to.�
The True Self exists beyond conformity, and conformity is always to one
thing�history. You are conforming to history by your acquiescence to it. By
acquiescence we mean agreement again. �I will agree that this is a Sunday.
Everybody says it�s Sunday. I will not be the only one wrong.�
Your decisions are based in history. �I should have this kind of a job, this kind
of a practice, this kind of a mate. I should be seen in these ways because, if I am
not, I am not in agreement to the history that I know myself through.�
When you understand that the claim �I am free, I am free, I am free� transforms
history by a new agreement, you can operate through the claim and begin to express
as the True Self or the Christed principle in manifestation. This does not make you
Jesus. We are not saying you are going to walk on water. But you are going to know
your relationship to the Divine that is inherent in all manifestation.
The small self cannot know this, and that is why we bring this teaching to you now.
The small self cannot know it. She cannot abide in the higher field because what
she has known was claimed for her in an agreement to separation.
�Now what the hell does that mean,� he asks, �agreement to separation?�
You are born in fear, in some ways, because you operate in a field that is in
agreement to fear. This is not your fault. It is not original sin, and we say that
for Paul who had a question in the back of the room. But you are born in fear�not
the field you hold, but the confirmation of your field within the larger intention.
The manifest world has been so in agreement to fear, it is an expectation of being.
Now if you imagine an infant, who knows its truth, suddenly thrust into a dense
field that is fraught with fear and inherits the information that was created in
fear, you have separation. The Divine that is the child is still as present as it
ever was, but the confirmation of its reality has been confirmed by the collective,
and the collective has decided what will be so.
Now the small self in most ways is an agreement in a collective, only because its
agreements were made in a time where she was seeking to learn who she was. And what
she learned confirmed the need for fear and for anger and for thoughts that she
would not get what she wants because she is not worthy.
�Worthy of what?� he asks. Worthy of the Divine Self in full expression. Full
expression is what we said, yes.
Now the idea that you will be fully expressed as the Divine Self is a point of
great confusion for all of you. You think it means you will be taking bows. You
will be so luminous nobody can gaze upon you. Your bills are paid for you. The
beautiful men and women you desire are all present all day long because you are so
wondrous. Or you assume that it means you become pious and separate from the world
and deny yourself pleasure because you perceive the Divine to be outside of form
and the idea of pleasure must be of a lower nature.
Neither is so. To be fully realized as the True Self, the Divine as what you are,
requires one thing�to surrender to what you have always been at the cost of the
known. �Behold, I make all things new� has been the teaching, and the surrender and
acquiescence to the true nature of your being and its expression is what claims
you.
�But what does this look like?� he asks. �What is the price we pay? Why would we
want this?�
Here is the terrible news, Paul. It looks just like you are now, and the woman
before you, and the gentleman in the back row. It looks just like them. Your
agreement to what perfection means is also a product of the collective that would
decide for you what divinity looks like�do you all understand this?�the Divine as
you, as who and what you are and can only be. Underline the word only. Can only be.
Everything else is an idea and nothing more�an idea that you are not worthy, an
idea that humanity cannot get along, an idea that you are not one with the Source
of your being.
The truth of who and what you are has come to be known. You are free. You are free.
You are free. And as we announce these words��you are free, you are free, you are
free��we welcome you to The Book of Freedom, and this is its introduction.
