IV. SUMMARY
The course Advanced English I is a theoretical-practical course based on a communicative and
interpretive approach, which allows the student to validate oral and written information about
everyday situations, in the personal and social sphere, as well as in their work and professional
environment, which will allow complying with the competencies corresponding to level B2,
according to the standards of Common European Framework of Reference for Language Scale.
V. GENERAL LEARNING OUTCOME
At the end of the course, the student validates ideas related to wishes and future possibilities with
fluency, as well as what other people could express about the personal and professional sphere,
through practical activities, and collaborative work in real-life situations.
VI. ORGANIZATION OF LEARNING

VII. TEACHING STRATEGIES


The course will be developed through content demonstration sessions, with the active
participation of students through collaborative learning strategies in solving situations in daily
life. The course will include daily practices, homework, and readings in the virtual classroom of
the University that will allow them to develop skills in academic comprehension and writing.

1. Teams Platform: Online platform used by the University, which allows videoconferencing,
chatting and screen sharing, among other options. The platform has cloud recording storage.
2. Canvas Virtual Classroom Platform: Learning management platform used at the University
for the publication of online learning materials and activities.
3. Rosetta Stone Platform: Online platform used by the University, which has activities for each
English course. Each level has sections on speaking, listening, writing, reading, pronunciation,
vocabulary and grammar. Allows access with or without internet connection.
