Flood in Malaysia, Thailand and Indonesia
20 – 27 December 2014
MALAYSIA
Flood is still persist in Malaysia especially
in the following states: Kelantan,
Terengganu, Johor, Pahang, Perak,
Negeri Sembilan, while Perlis and Kedah
is starting to improve. It is estimated total
of 132,684 people were displaced
throughout these 8 States afffected by
flood. Depth of inundation varied from
submeter to 3 meter.

THAILAND
Similar conditions to Malaysia, Southern
Thailand is also affected heavily by
flooding including Surat Thani, Nakhon Si
Thammarat, Patani, Yala, Songkhla,
Satun and Trang. So far 13 deaths, 5
injured, 567,198 populations were
affected, 7,857 people evacuated and
3,776 houses damaged.
INDONESIA
Since 21 december 2014, 7 districts were
flooded in ACEH to include: Aceh Utara,
Aceh Timur, Aceh Tamiang, Aceh
Selatan, Pidie, Lhoksemauwe and Banda
Aceh. 120,966 people were displaced.
Additionally other areas in Indonesia also
affected by floods including Rokan Hulu,
Riau, Gorontalo Utara, Bandung and
Jakarta
