Student-teacher relationships are one of the trending topics that most people
debate nowadays. Some people agree with this kind of romantic relationship since
according to them, “Love has no bounds” (H.H. Fowler, 2016). Some people disagree
since according to them, teachers should not be in love with their students and doing it is
unacceptable. However, all of us are different individuals with diverse backgrounds and
different perspectives that may lead us to have different ideas about this topic.
On the other hand, one might say that the student and the teacher aren't blood
related, and love knows no boundaries. For me, those statements are true and acceptable.
A teacher can have feelings with his students if he thinks that this student is the most
beautiful in his eyes, or she is the one for him. A student can fall for her teacher if she
thinks that he is the most handsome person in the world and no one can replace him. We
are all people who have feelings with anyone without looking at their life status, gender,
or even career. Nevertheless, it is also true for me that “love can wait”. When we fall in
love with a person, this means that we can wait for them if we truly love them. A teacher
can wait for that student to graduate if he truly loves her. A student can focus on her
studies and make that teacher an inspiration if she truly loves him.
The only point of this is that everything has its own-perfect timing. I did not
disagree with the idea of the student-teacher relationships but if they truly love each
other, then they can wait. We can be in love while waiting, and we can wait if that love is
sincere.
