    Fog Safe Device (FSD) has been found helpful in the conditions of poor
    visibility in alerting Loco Pilots of an approaching signals or Neutral section etc.
    Instructions have been issued to use the same during foggy weather.

    Now, considering the cases of SPADs taking place on IR, CCRS vide letter
    at ref (ii) above, has recommended for providing FSDs to the crew for usage
    round the year. The recommendation of CCRS was examined and has been
    accepted by Board (MT&RS).

    Zonal Railways are advised to take necessary action in accordance and


    ensure compliance.
