and directing my students' attention. This strategy not only adds a unique touch to my teaching style but
also establishes a clear framework for communication, ensuring a focused and participatory atmosphere
during lessons.
Prioritizing orderliness by instructing students to arrange their chairs properly and pick up
trashes before starting discussions is a proactive measure. This routine sets a structured tone for my
class, minimizing potential disruptions and creating an organized space for effective learning. Such
practices contribute significantly to creating an environment where students can concentrate on the
lesson content without unnecessary distractions.
My great reflection this week, February 19-23, 2024 on managing classroom structure and
routines highlighted the importance of a holistic approach to education. By integrating responsibilities,
engaging communication techniques, and fostering a sense of ownership among students, I am not only
shaping a positive learning environment but also instilling valuable life skills. As I continue my teaching

As a student-teacher from Cagayan State University-Aparri Campus, my day at Aparri East
National High School on February 26, 2024, began with implementing effective classroom management
strategies. Each morning and at the end of the afternoon class, I facilitated a routine cleaning activity,
involving students in maintaining the cleanliness of the backyard, front yard, classroom, and comfort
rooms. This not only instills a sense of responsibility but also fosters a clean and conducive learning
environment.
Throughout the day, I maintained a disciplined atmosphere in the classroom. To manage noise
levels, I employed the technique of demanding silence through claps, a method that proved effective in
capturing the attention of the students promptly. Additionally, I actively assisted my cooperating teacher
in controlling the students, ensuring a focused and productive learning environment.
The central theme of the day's lessons revolved around a comprehensive review of the
Menstrual Cycle, encompassing its four phases: Menstruation, Follicular, Ovulation, and Luteal. The
goal was to reinforce the understanding of these phases, emphasizing the intricate hormonal changes and
physiological processes occurring within the female reproductive system.
Furthermore, the class delved into the memorization of the Endocrine Glands, an integral aspect
of the broader topic of reproductive health. The students were guided through the functions and
locations of various endocrine glands, fostering a holistic understanding of the hormonal regulation
involved in the menstrual cycle.
The teaching sessions were conducted with three different Grade 10 classes – Mars, Pluto, and
Jupiter. Each session lasted for an hour, providing ample time for in-depth discussions and interactive

learning activities. The students actively participated in the review, demonstrating their engagement
through questions, discussions, and collaborative activities.
While managing the class, the primary challenge was ensuring a balance between maintaining
discipline and creating an engaging learning environment. The use of routine cleaning activities and the
clapping technique proved effective in managing noise and establishing a focused atmosphere.
Reflecting on the day, it was evident that continuous reinforcement of the Menstrual Cycle and
the Endocrine Glands is crucial for solidifying students' understanding. The interactive nature of the
lesson facilitated better retention and comprehension among the students.
