DAY 1

As a student-teacher from Cagayan State University-Aparri Campus, I had the privilege of

conducting lessons in Aparri East National High School on February 12, 2024. The focus of the day's

teaching was the intricate and fascinating topic of the Nervous System. Since I have new Cooperating

teacher, I need to introduce myself to my new students from Grade 10.

The day commenced with the Grade 10 Mars class, where I introduced the Nervous System with

enthusiasm and engaged the students in an interactive discussion. Employing a multimedia presentation,

I used diagrams, videos, and real-life examples to simplify complex concepts. The students actively

participated in the lesson, asking questions and expressing their curiosity about the topic. A short quiz at

the end of the session served as a formative assessment to gauge their understanding.

In the afternoon, I conducted a session with Grade 10 Pluto. Recognizing the diverse learning

styles of the students, I incorporated various teaching methods such as group discussions and hands-on

activities. A practical demonstration involving simple reflex actions helped the students visualize the

functioning of the nervous system. The class exhibited a commendable level of engagement, and their

eagerness to comprehend the topic was evident in their thoughtful questions.

The final class of the day, Grade 10 Jupiter, presented an opportunity to reinforce the key

concepts of the Nervous System. To encourage critical thinking, I organized a scenario-based activity

where students had to apply their knowledge to solve hypothetical situations. This approach not only

tested their understanding but also fostered collaborative learning. The class concluded with a recap of

the day's lessons, emphasizing the relevance of the Nervous System in everyday life.

Reflecting on the day's experiences, it was evident that the students at Aparri East National High

School possess a genuine interest in learning. Their responsiveness and active participation in the

lessons were inspiring. The collaborative efforts of the school's faculty and the students' receptiveness

created a conducive learning environment.

The day spent at Aparri East National High School was enriching and provided valuable insights

into the dynamics of classroom teaching. The Nervous System topic proved to be engaging for the

students, and their enthusiasm for learning was palpable. I am grateful for the opportunity to contribute

DAY 2

On February 13, 2024, I continued my role as a student-teacher from Cagayan State University-

Aparri Campus at Aparri East National High School. The day's focus was on delving deeper into the

intricacies of the Nervous System, with a specific emphasis on the fundamental unit - the Nerve Cell.

The morning session began with Grade 10 Mars, where I embarked on an exploration of the

Nerve Cell. Using visual aids, models, and interactive discussions, I introduced the structure and

functions of nerve cells. Emphasizing the importance of neurons in transmitting signals, I facilitated

group activities to reinforce the concepts. The students displayed a keen interest, asking insightful

questions that showcased their growing understanding of the topic.

The afternoon class with Grade 10 Pluto provided an opportunity for a hands-on approach to

learning about nerve cells. I organized a simple experiment demonstrating the transmission of signals

between neurons. This practical demonstration not only captured the students' attention but also

enhanced their comprehension of the intricate processes occurring within nerve cells. The class

concluded with a brief review and a formative assessment to gauge their retention of the day's lessons.

The final class of the day, Grade 10 Jupiter, focused on consolidating the understanding of nerve

cells. I encouraged students to express their creativity by drawing and labeling nerve cell diagrams. This

In conclusion, the day dedicated to exploring the intricacies of the Nerve Cell at Aparri East

DAY 3

On February 14, 2024, my role as a student-teacher from Cagayan State University-Aparri

Campus at Aparri East National High School involved not only facilitating the memorization of the

glands in the Endocrine System but also active participation in classroom management during a special

day - Valentine's Day.

The unique aspect of this day was the combination of regular classroom management routines

and the incorporation of additional responsibilities due to a morning meeting and a Valentine's Day

program in the afternoon. The mxorning started with the customary cleaning routine, extending to the

backyard, front yard, classrooms, and restroom areas. This holistic approach to cleanliness set a positive

tone for the day and instilled a sense of pride in the students for their school environment.

In light of the morning meeting and the Valentine's Day program, effective classroom

management became crucial. Demanding silence through claps when the noise level escalated ensured a

focused atmosphere during critical moments. Additionally, I actively assisted my cooperating teacher in

maintaining order and control among the students, ensuring a smooth transition between activities.

As a student-teacher from Cagayan State University-Aparri Campus, my engagement with Aparri

East National High School on February 15, 2024, involved not only the exploration of the Parts of the

Nerve Cell but also an in-depth understanding of effective classroom management strategies.

One notable aspect of my teaching experience at Aparri East National High School is the

emphasis on maintaining a clean and organized learning environment. The day began with a routine

cleaning activity, both in the morning before classes commenced and at the end of each class in the

afternoon. This practice not only instilled a sense of responsibility among the students but also created a

conducive atmosphere for learning.

Another noteworthy classroom management technique employed at the school involves using a

Embarking on the journey of becoming a pre-service teacher is a transformative and

observation conferences at Aparri East National High School. Collaborating with my cooperating

teacher, Keziah Anne Reyes, in the realm of Science for Grade 10 sections, has undoubtedly provided

me with valuable insights and practical learning opportunities.

One of the pivotal aspects of being a pre-service teacher is the immersion into the dynamics of

classroom management. Observing and actively participating in classroom activities at Aparri East

National High School has likely offered me a firsthand understanding of the challenges and nuances

As a student-teacher from Cagayan State University-Aparri Campus, my day at Aparri East

National High School on February 26, 2024, began with implementing effective classroom management

strategies. Each morning and at the end of the afternoon class, I facilitated a routine cleaning activity,

involving students in maintaining the cleanliness of the backyard, front yard, classroom, and comfort

rooms. This not only instills a sense of responsibility but also fosters a clean and conducive learning

environment.

Throughout the day, I maintained a disciplined atmosphere in the classroom. To manage noise

levels, I employed the technique of demanding silence through claps, a method that proved effective in

capturing the attention of the students promptly. Additionally, I actively assisted my cooperating teacher

in controlling the students, ensuring a focused and productive learning environment.

The central theme of the day's lessons revolved around a comprehensive review of the

Menstrual Cycle, encompassing its four phases: Menstruation, Follicular, Ovulation, and Luteal. The

goal was to reinforce the understanding of these phases, emphasizing the intricate hormonal changes and

physiological processes occurring within the female reproductive system.

Furthermore, the class delved into the memorization of the Endocrine Glands, an integral aspect

of the broader topic of reproductive health. The students were guided through the functions and

locations of various endocrine glands, fostering a holistic understanding of the hormonal regulation

involved in the menstrual cycle.

The teaching sessions were conducted with three different Grade 10 classes – Mars, Pluto, and

Jupiter. Each session lasted for an hour, providing ample time for in-depth discussions and interactive

learning activities. The students actively participated in the review, demonstrating their engagement

through questions, discussions, and collaborative activities.

While managing the class, the primary challenge was ensuring a balance between maintaining

discipline and creating an engaging learning environment. The use of routine cleaning activities and the

clapping technique proved effective in managing noise and establishing a focused atmosphere.

Reflecting on the day, it was evident that continuous reinforcement of the Menstrual Cycle and

the Endocrine Glands is crucial for solidifying students' understanding. The interactive nature of the

lesson facilitated better retention and comprehension among the students.

The day at Aparri East National High School on February 26, 2024, was marked by effective

classroom management, student engagement, and a thorough review of the Menstrual Cycle and

Endocrine Glands. The collaborative efforts between the students and the student-teacher contributed to

a successful and enriching learning experience. The journey of imparting knowledge and fostering a

positive classroom environment continues, with a commitment to providing quality education at the

forefront.
