Objective:

By the end of the lesson, students will be able to segment a two to three syllable word into its
syllabic parts.
1. Student will understand what syllable is and be able to explain its definition.
2. Student will learn common syllable patterns in two to three syllable words.
3. Student will practice breaking two to three syllable words into their individual syllables
using visual aids, such as word card or manipulatives.
