Content Standard: The learners should able to learn about the conversation
skills.

Performance Standard: The learners must to observe nor shall able to speak
confidently his/her emotions and ideal words makes sense.

Learning Competency: Utilizing the polite greetings (using good morning, good
afternoon, good evening, etc.)

I. Learning Objectives
At the end of the 40-minute session, all of the kindergarten pupils will be able to:

a) identify the appropriate polite expression to be used in greetings,


b) appreciate the importance of using polite greetings in daily lives by responding to
situations given; and
c) apply appropriately polite expression specifically in greetings.

2. Activity: Let’s learn to Greet! The teacher will provide a picture related
in a day of polite greetings and how we use to say by utilizing polite
greeting in daily lives.

D. Analysis The teacher will ask to the learners and learners will answer the

1. What have you observed when we use the pictures?
2. How do these words work in your daily life?
3. Do these words help you to be polite?

E. Abstraction

Good morning- expressing good wishes on meeting or parting during the


morning.
Good afternoon- expressing good wishes on meeting or parting in the
afternoon.
Good evening- expressing good wishes on meeting or parting during the
evening.
Goodbye- often understood as an indefinite parting, that it may be the last
time you will see the person again.
Hello- used as a greeting or to be begin a phone conversation or meeting a
person.

afternoon or good evening.

Why is it important to use polite greetings?
If you woke up early and you saw your mother cooking, what will you say?

scene 1: You went out with your family for dinner and you saw your Teacher, what will

3. You went to school early morning and your teacher is already in the classroom, what

V. Assignment
Take a video saying polite greetings, it could be good morning as you woke up, good
evening during night time, saying hello to your best friend. Ask guidance of your parents
when doing the activity.
