I. Objectives
At the end of 45 minutes discussion with 75% proficiency level, the pupils are expected
to;
a. Identify the Mass Noun and Count Noun.
b. Use Mass Noun and Count Noun in sentence, and;
c. Show appreciation in the great things created by God.

A. Topic: Kinds of Nouns: Count Noun and Mass Noun
B. References: Exploring English Language 4
C. Materials: picture, chart, power point presentation, real objects.

- What are Common Noun? - Common Nouns are names of any
person, place or things.

- That’s right. What about Proper Noun? - Proper Noun are names of specific
person, place or things.

Instruction: Underline the common nouns and


encircle the proper noun in the following
sentences.
1. Dr. Jose Rizal is our national hero.
2. University of Southern Mindanao is one of the
prestigious University in the country.
3. Mr. Jay is a kind teacher.
4. Kabacan is in Cotabato Province.
5. Filipino is our national language

3. We’ll extract the juice of pineapple.
4. I need a bottle of vinegar for my cooking.
5. Maria has five books in her bags.

V. Assignment
List down 10 count nouns and 10 mass nouns. Write it on your assignment
notebook.
