Topic : Introducting Yourself and Greetings
Time Allocation : 1 x 40 Minutes (1 Meeting)

A. Standard of Competency:
Enable students to greet someone in English and introduce themselves confidently by the end
of lesson.

B. Indicators:

1. Students are able to greet someone in English.

2. Students are able to introduce themselves confidently.

3. Students are able to listen and repeat after an audio recording of greeting.

4. Students are able to use flashcards to practices common greetings and self-introduction.

C. Learning Objectives
By the end of the lesson, the students will be able to:
1. Greet someone in English.
2. Introduce themselves confidently.

H. Session Plan.

Activity Learning Steps Time


Pre-Activity - Greet students at the door using a simple English greeting. 5 Minutes

- Display pictures of greetings on the whiteboard (e.g.,


"Hello," "Hi," "Good morning") and have students repeat
after you.

- Introduce the lesson topic: "Today, we will learn how to


greet people and introduce ourselves in English."
Whilst Activity - Play video of greetings and Introduction, after that, ask the 25 Minutes
students to listen carefully and repeat it after.

- Use flashcards to practice common greetings and self-


introduction phrases.

- Show a flashcard with a greeting (e.g., "How are you?") and


have students repeat it.

- Show a flashcard with a self-introduction phrase (e.g., "My


name is Adwin.") and have students repeat it.

- Mix up the flashcards and repeat the process.

- Pair students up and have them take turns practicing


greetings and self-introductions with each other.

- Conduct role-play activities where students practice


introducing themselves to each other using the phrases they've
learned.
- Circulate around the classroom, providing individual
assistance and correction as needed.

- Conduct group drills, where the whole class repeats


greetings and self-introduction phrases in unison.

Post Activity - Ask students to come to the front of the class one by one and 10 Minutes
introduce themselves. Encourage them to use the phrases
they've learned.

- Provide feedback and correction as necessary, highlighting


improvements and areas for further practice.

- Distribute worksheets for students to practice greetings and


self-introduction with a family member or friend.

- Summarize the lesson by reviewing the key phrases and


greetings.

- Assign homework to practice greetings and self-introduction


with a family member or friend.

- Remind students of the next lesson's topic and any materials


they need to bring.
