    Activity 1: Create a concept map showing your social network. (Please indicate the people involve and
    your relationship with them)

    Activity 2: Among the theories/concepts about the development of social networking, which
    theory/concept (s) describe (s) your social network in the present? Why? (Min. 5 sentences)

    ANSWER: The role of role-sets theory is present with my social network, why? Because I have a
    reoccurring relationship with in my role for example as person, I have reoccurring role with my parents
    as their daughter, as a friend, I have a reoccurring relationship with my org mates and to my classmates,
    as a woman, I have a reoccurring relationship with my partner and as a student, I have a reoccurring
    relationship with school and to my teacher/s and as a student, in trying times I have a role with my
    home-based online job which I use in supporting my studies.

    Activity 3: Answer the following questions. (Min. 5 sentences)


    1. In your own words, what is social capital?

    ANSWER: Social Capital is the networks of relationships among people who live and work in a particular
    society, enabling that society to function effectively. It composed of different norms, trusts with one
    another, roles, diversity, participation. The networks as real-world links between groups or individuals.

    2. How social media/SNS help you in establishing/developing your social network?

    ANSWER: SNS helped me big time in establishing and developing my social network, without it, I
    won’t be able to meet different people everyday and learn new things from them. I established real
    connections and relationships among my peers with the groups I joined in using my SNS, I met my
    partner, I discovered new information regarding different social issues in our country and I became
    more aware of what the dos and don’ts online, who to befriend with, and what will benefit my well-
    being.
