Hello everyone! Today, my team will present Unit 2A Reading page 24 and page 25.

Let’s start
with exercise 1.
Exercise 1:
First , you read the title of the text and look at the picture. Can you tell me what do you think
the text is about? …
Answer: The text is about some unique places in Hanoi – the capital of Vietnam.
And now let’s read and watch the text together. After you read the text, I’ll explain some new
words to you.
Tourist attraction: a place that people visit for pleasure and interest, usually while they are on
holiday.
Temple: a building used for religious worship
Architecture: the design or style of a building or buildings
Symbol: a person, an object, an event, etc. that represents a more general quality or situation
Worship: the practice of showing respect for God or a god, by saying prayers, singing with
others, etc.; a ceremony for this
Flavour: a particular type of taste
Stall: a table or small shop with an open front that people sell things from, especially at a
market

Answer: The blogger likes the location in the middle of a peaceful pond of One Pillar Pagoda,
which makes the traditional temple so beautiful.
3.What can visitors do in the Old Quarter?
Answer: Visitors can buy handmade items at great prices, and taste unusual dishes from the
street stalls.
