STUDY PLAN

Hello. My name is Sharleen Martin. I am 18 years old. I graduated from Methodist Charles Wesley
school, Medan, Indonesia.

 Why do I choose to study in Taiwan?


Studying in Taiwan will give me many benefits. First of all, I have the opportunities to learn and get a
better understanding of Taiwan’s culture. Secondly, quality of education in almost all Taiwan’s
University are good, so I believe the opportunities to be employed are higher. Next, Taiwan is one of
the safest countries in the world. As of the pandemic of covid19, Taiwan is proven to be capable of
controlling locally spread of the virus and has recorded 200 days without domestic covid19 infection
(per October 30, 2020). Taiwanese is known for being kind, friendly and polite. And also, the food in
Taiwan suit me. Lastly, Taiwan offer a better financial aid.

 Why do I choose to study in your University?


Taiwan’s university is ranked in the world and Taiwan has been targeted by many international
students, especially Asia’s students, because Taiwan provide good quality of education. I choose
your university because I am applying for English course. With your facilities that are provided for
students and guideline from highly qualified professor, I believe this university can guide me to do
my best in doing my study. Studying as an international student at your university also give me the
opportunity to experience people of different cultures and backgrounds, therefore, I can learn
Taiwan culture and other countries.

 This is the major that I am interested in and why I am keen to study this major:
International Bachelor Program in Culinary Arts.
I am really interested in art and pastries. I have passion to learn and know multiple dishes from
various parts of the world. Culinary arts is not just ravishing taste buds with flavor but also
enhancing visual presentation with garnishing. Through culinary arts I can learn to appreciate
cooking as an art and encourage a healthy lifestyle. Through visual appearance I can make people
who is afraid of trying something new or people who are picky, trying something they haven’t tried
before or afraid to. Through your university I believe I can achieve my dream of helping the others.
