EXPERIMENT SHEET
Experiment #2- Effects of Heat in Matter
Activity A. Change is Coming
Objective: To compare the effects of heat on materials.

What you need:


3 pcs. of candles (same sizes) Ruler 2 Empty cans 2 pieces of candle (3cm. long)
Matchstick

What to do:
1. Get two empty cans with the same size and 3 small candles with the same sizes.
2. Take 2 small parts of candle with the same length (3cm.long).
3. Put them on each can. Label the cans as set up A and set up B.
4. Light the candles using matchstick.
5. Place the can A over the flame of candle.
6. Place the can B over the flame of two candles.
7. Wait until they melt. Record the time of melting.
8. Observe what happen to the candles on the can using the table below.
