MINUTES OF THE MEETING ON THE ORIENTATION OF FOREST

LAND USE PLANNING (FLUP)

Time: 9:00 am, 27 July 2022.

Venue: SB Building

The Orientation on Forest Land Use Planning (FLUP) led by the committee in charge
in Environment, Hon. Romeo Albarida and supported by the MENRO Designate, Ms
Charmaine T. Parac. The meeting started with a prayer led by Hon. Artemio T. Almoroto
followed by the singing of the National Anthem conducted by Engr. Mary Apple Sanchez.
The Provincial Environment and Natural Resources Officer, Alejandro K. Bautista give a
short massage and presented the agenda of the meeting.

MUNITES OF THE MEETING:

1. An overview of the Forest Land Use Plan

The CENRO-Ormoc led by Mary Grace Tariao presented an overview of the

forest land use Plan- its legal basis, importance, process/ sequential activities and the
expected output. The activity serves as the initial meeting for the collaboration between the
DENR (PENRO and CENRO) staff and Local Government Unit of Matag-ob (represented by
the Elected Officials and Department Heads). Preliminary documents (Executive Order
creating TWG for FLUP, Resolutions and Memorandum of Agreement) target to submit next
week and follow by gathering of data in the field.
 2. Proposed- Organization of the Technical Working Group (TWG)- Local Service
Provider (LSP) and responsibilities

The FLUP-TWG is composed of the following:

Duties and Responsibilities

 Lead in the preparation of the FLUP in collaboration with the DENR-FLUP

Team;
 Conduct regular consultation meetings among stakeholders and communities
to ensure the veracity of the data gathered as a reference in the plan
preparation;
  Ensure to follow the participative approach in a Governance- Oriented Forest
Land Use Planning;
 Regularly appraise the Local Chief Executive and the Legislative on the plan
preparation.

3. Other Matters
Moreover, Mr. Alejandro K. Bautista PENR Officer allocated 35 working
days duration for the completeness of FLUP. Mrs. Marian Tan also requires MENRO
personnel to submit a Proposal for allocating funds for the activities to be conducted for the
formulation of the Forest Land Use Plan.

Having no more matters to discuss, the meeting was adjourned at exactly 11:50 in the
morning.
