Direction: Aside from those mentioned in Module 1 Lesson 1, gives other qualities of a
good researcher. The qualities may also be based on the first letter of the word
"RESEARCHER". Discuss briefly why the given quality must be included.

R – Rigorous
In order to be a rigorous researcher, one must follow stringent guidelines for
precision, diligence, and attention to detail throughout the whole research
process. Research findings are trustworthy, dependable, and believable when
they are rigorously analyzed.
E – Enthusiastic
In the quest for information, a researcher's enthusiasm is crucial for stimulating
curiosity, keeping oneself motivated, and propelling creativity. An passionate
researcher tackles their job with a sincere interest in their topic of study,
enthusiasm, and desire.
S – Systematic
A systematic researcher uses methods that are planned and structured at every
stage of the investigation to guarantee productivity, precision, and dependability
when searching for information.
E – Empathetic
Empathy encourages moral and conscientious research practices, strengthens
communication, and creates meaningful relationships.
A – Analytical
To be analytical as a researcher is having the capacity to methodically look at,
analyze, and assess information, data, and evidence in order to make discoveries,
come to conclusions, and produce new knowledge.
R – Resourcefulness
It is the ability to find quick and clever ways to overcome challenges or achieve
goals, often using the resources available at hand. It involves creative problem-
solving, adaptability, and the capacity to make the most of limited resources.
C – Creative
Creativity is the ability to generate novel ideas, solutions, or expressions that are
original, valuable, and meaningful. It involves thinking outside the box, making
unique connections, and exploring new possibilities.

H – Honest
Truthfulness, integrity, and sincerity in one's words, deeds, and intentions define
honesty as a basic quality. Sincerity demands that knowledge be communicated
truthfully, freely, and transparently—without lying or misrepresenting anything.x
E – Efficient
Efficiency is the capacity to complete activities, goals, or objectives with the
least amount of time, money, or effort wasted. It entails optimizing output while
limiting input in order to get the best outcomes in the most efficient and cost-
effective way feasible.
R - Reliable
A person, system, product, or process is said to be reliable if they consistently
and consistently function as predicted over an extended period of time and under
a range of circumstances. Reliability is essentially the capacity to have faith that
something will perform or act in a consistent and predictable way.

These qualities represent various attributes that are often associated with researchers
and research work.
