1. Coolant temperature sensor

The temperature sensor supplies


information about the temperature of
the engine coolant to the engine control
unit. As a function of coolant temperature
the engine control unit calls up different
characteristic maps for engine operation.

NOTE

• Use a digital multimeter.
• Use test device EDC17/EGC4, item number 80.99641-6070.
• Use test adapter, item number 80.99641-6044.

2.1. Check the cable harness for disconnection,

Measure the resistance between the required contacts in accordance with the following
