This chapter is comprised of the data and findings that we have gathered from our survey.
We, the researchers, conducted a survey about the behavioral outcomes of Grade 7 students
under the influence of their peers. Here is the summary of tables which came from a total of 165
respondents all consisting of Grade 7 students, all of which are studying at the Cebu Institute of
Technology – University. By grouping all the students in sections, we can more easily identify
the students’ answers.

7.69% answered Maybe.
In 7-Freedom, out of 28 students, 20 or 71.43% answered Yes, 2 or 7.14% answered No and 6 or
21.43% answered Maybe.
In 7-Happiness, out of 26 students, 24 or 92.31% answered Yes, 2 or 7.69% answered No and no
one answered Maybe.
In 7-Love, out of 27 students, 26 or 96.3% answered Yes, only 1 or 3.7% answered No and no
one answered Maybe.
In 7-Peace, out of 26 students, 19 or 73.08% answered Yes, 2 or 7.69% answered No and 5 or
19.23% answered Maybe.
In 7-Respect, out of 32 students, 31 or 96.9% answered Yes, only 1 or 3.1% answered No and no

Summary:
Response to Question #1. “Do you have peers inside or outside this campus?”
In this question, we have found that most of the respondents, 144 or 87.3% to be exact, had
answered Yes to this question. This means that the majority of Grade-7 students studying at
Cebu-Institute of Technology-University have peers either inside or outside the campus. On the
other hand, 8 or 4.8% of students answered No and 13 or 7.9% of students answered Maybe.
Response to Question #2. “Does your self-confidence improve when with your peers?”
In this question, we have found that 112 or 67.9% of the Grade-7 students answered Yes which
means most of the students have increased self-confidence when around their peers. On the other
hand, 12 or 7.3% of students answered No and 41 or 24.8% of students answered Maybe.
Response to Question #3. “Do you feel motivated to study when you are with your peers?”
In this question, we have found that 100 or 60.6% of the Grade-7 students answered Yes which
means that most of the students feel more motivated to study when surrounded by their peers. On
the other hand, 23 or 13.9% of students answered No and 42 or 25.5% of students answered
Maybe.
Response to Question #4. “Which of the following do you consider the behavior influenced by
your peers as?”
In this question, we have found that 108 students or 65.5 of students consider their behavior as
positive after being influenced by their peers. While 9 or 5.5% of students consider their
behavior as negative after being influenced by their peers. Additionally, 48 students or 29.1% of
students consider their behavior as neither positive nor negative after being influenced by their
peers.
Response to Question #4a. “If positive, do you think it will last?”
In this question, 50 or 46.3% of Grade-7 students think that it will last. On the other hand, there
are 8 or 7.4% of students who don’t think it will last and 50 or 46.3% of students that answered
Maybe.
Response to Question #4b. “If negative, have you tried to change it?”
In this question, out of the 9 students that answered Negative, 4 or 44.4% of students have tried
to change their negative behavior. While 5 or 55.6% of students haven’t tried to change their
negative behavior. No one answered Maybe.
Response to Question #5. “Do your parents approve of your peers?”
In this question, we have found that 113 students or 68.5% of Grade-7 students agree that their
parents approve of their peers. While on the other hand, there are 5 or 3% of students who
answered No and 37 or 22.4% of students who answered Maybe.
