SSS Similarity Theorem

[DEFINITION]
The SSS Similarity Theorem states that if the lengths of the corresponding sides
of two triangles are proportional, then the triangles are similar.
In other words, if the ratio of the lengths of the corresponding sides of two triangles is
the same, then the triangles are similar. It's a handy theorem to determine similarity between
triangles based on their side lengths.

We have ∆𝐴𝐵𝐶 and ∆𝐿𝑀𝐾.

𝐴𝐵 𝐴𝐶 𝐵𝐶
If we know that
𝐿𝑀
= 𝐿𝐾
= 𝑀𝐾
, we
can conclude that ∆𝐴𝐵𝐶 and ∆𝐿𝑀𝐾 are
similar triangles based on the SSS
similarity theorem.
Since the corresponding sides are
proportional.

An example of SSS similarity theorem is

one triangle with sides 9,15,18 and another
triangle with sides 6,10,12. So in ∆𝐴𝐵𝐶 and ∆𝐸𝐹𝐺
AB= 9, EF=6, AC=15, EG=10, BC=18, and
FG=12, then for example, AB/EF = AC/EG so 9/6
= 15/10, to check if they are proportional, you
cross multiply and both sides of the equation
should have sa same answer. The answer will be
90=90.
