A Semi-Detailed Lesson Plan in Kindergarten – Science

I. Objectives
Through the use of songs and paper cut outs the kindergarten pupils are expected
to:
a. identify different kinds of weather,
b. differentiate the various forms of weather:
c. tell the difference between the different forms of weather.

II. Subject Matter


a. Topic: Weather
b. Reference: Steps to Science pp. 166-170

c. Materials: book and colored chalks, pictures
III. Lesson Proper
a. Preliminary Activities
i. Greetings
ii. Checking of Attendance
iii. Review
The teacher will ask the learners what they learn last meeting. They
more likely to say : “Waterfall and River”

b. Lesson Proper
i. Motivation
The teacher will play a song titled “The Weather Song”

ii. Presentation
From the song that they will sing. The teacher will present the lesson
for today,

iii. Discussion
The teacher will discuss and differentiate the different forms of
weather.
One by one the teacher will elaborate on the different forms of weather
(sunny day, rainy day, windy day, and stormy day).

iv. Application
The teacher will ask the learners to make their own Rainy name.
v. Generalization
T will ask
The teacher n the pupils what they have learned today.

Answer pages 166-170 in your Steps to Science book

V. Assignment
draw your favorite summer wear.
