I. Objectives:
At the end of the learning episode the pupils are expected to:
 Identify the letters of the alphabet;
 Write the alphabet in correct sequence.
 Participate actively in the class discussion.

II. Subject Matter

III. Procedure
A. Meeting Time
1. Prayer

The pupils will sing the prayer song.

“Make Me A Servant”

2. Greetings
o The pupils will share some of their experiences relevant to the school experiences
and a greeting song will be played.

3. Weather Report
o The weather song will be played.
o The teacher will call on the weather reporter for today.

4. Attendance
o The teacher will utilize the attendance chart.

5. Exercise
o The pupils and the teacher will sing and dance to the tune of the Exercise
song.

B. Drill : Alphabet Flashcard

C. Motivation
What’s Next to…

 The teacher will use the flash card from the first activity to form an alphabet sequence
pattern.
 The pupils will have to identify the next letter from the pattern presented by the teacher.
 The teacher would then present an alphabet chart to further the discussion.

D. Presentation and Discussion

 The pupils would identify the letters of the alphabet on which comes before and after.

E. Application

 Answer the seatwork about alphabet sequence.

1. Motivation

Roll your Name


 The teacher would play a song as the pupils pass on a ball. Once the music stops, the
pupil who’s holding the ball shall tell her name.
 Once all the pupils have taken their turns the discussion shall continue.

B. Presentation and Discussion


 The teacher would show the set of introduction questions that the teacher will explain and
give example on how to answer them. The pupils will then have to try answering the posted
questions.

Motivation
 The teacher will bring a box of objects that is filled with colorful things.
 Teacher will encourage the children to identify their favorite color and have them identify
objects that are of the same color with the latter.

 The teacher will show a picture of a sea of fishes. Have pupils observe the picture.
 Let the pupils identify the colors of objects they see it.
 Guide them to identify the name of colors.
 Discuss the colors.
