INTRODUCTION
Science seeks truth in nature. Nature refers to earth, space, living and nonliving things. Science is both
a process and a product. Science as a process involves the scientific method of inquiry and scientific attitudes.
Science as a product refers to the systematized body of knowledge like scientific theories and principles.
Science is dynamic. It is hands-on and it changes as the human knowledge increases. Science
involves the individual and collective effort of scientist.

Instructions:
Form a group having a maximum members of eight ( 8 ) and assign a group leader.
Begin by familiarizing yourself with the layout of the school. Take a walk around the school premises,
paying attention to different areas such as classrooms, hallways, cafeteria, playground, gym, laboratory, etc.
As you explore each area, carefully observe your surroundings, and identify any potential hazards that
could cause harm or accidents. These hazards could include but are not limited to:

Record your observations systematically on paper, noting down the location of each hazard and a brief
description of what you observed.
If provided, use the checklist of common hazards to ensure you have considered all possible risks.
After completing your hazard assessment, reflect on the significance of identifying these hazards.
Consider how they can be prevented or mitigated to ensure a safer environment for everyone in the school
community.
