Safety: (Cassidy)
- Students will need to hold on to the scooter handlebars at all times. *demonstrate how
they should have their hands on the scooter*
1. Activity #1: Scooter push and pull
a. Each student will have a scooter.
b. They will then spread out in the gym.
c. The students will lay on their belly and using their arms, they will pull themselves
forward and then push themselves backward. Trying to not move from their spot.
2. Activity #2: Scooter Noodle Spin
a. The students will lay on the scooters on their belly and they will have a noodle in
their hands.
b. When the teacher says ‘go’ the students will start using the noodle to push them in
a circle.
c. When the teacher says ‘switch’ they will switch directions.
3. Activity #3: Scooter crossing
a. Have the students take their scooter and noodle to a line *Use cones as starting
lines on both sides*
b. When the teacher says ‘go’ the students will begin by using the noodle to
push/pull themselves to the other side of the court using the pool noodle.
4. Activity #4: Scooter drag
a. The students will start at a line.
b. T hey will place their feet on the scooter while their hands are on the ground
holding them up.
c. When the teacher says ‘go’ they will crawl using their hands to pull their feet
across the court.
*Make sure to demonstrate what it should look like*
5. Activity #5: Scooter Crab Walk
a. The students will flip their bodies over having their stomachs facing the sky.
b. They will place their hands on the ground and their feet will be flat on the scooter.
c. When on the line, they will be facing the wall.
d. When the teacher says ‘go’ the kids will use their hands and walk backwards
across the court.
6. Activity #5: Scooter Partner PushThe students will get into partners. One partner will
lay on the scooter with their belly and hold their legs up.
a. The other partner will grab their partner's feet.
b. When the teacher says ‘go’, the partner holding the feet will begin to push their
partner like a shopping cart across the court.
c. Once they are down, switch partners and repeat.
7. Activity #6: Human Hungry Hippos
a. The students will work in teams or pairs to try and get the most dodgeballs.
b. One student will lay belly down on the scooter while holding a basket.
c. Another student will be holding the player on the scooter by their feet.
d. They will start at their cone and push their partner into a horde of dodgeballs in
the middle of the court.
e. Their job is to use baskets to obtain the dodgeballs, they will then get dragged
back to their cone.
f. Give them a time limit per round, count how many each group has and play
another round. Once one round is done make sure the partners switch roles.
8. Activity #7: Scooter Hula Hut Knock Down
a. Divide students into two teams.
b. Each team will have 2-3 hula huts on their side of the court.
c. Each student will have their own scooter.
d. When the teacher says ‘go’, the students can now throw the dodge balls at the
other team’s hula huts.
e. They must always have their bottoms on the scooter, always.
f. The goal is to knock down both of the other team’s hula huts.
g. Repeat and switch teams.
*May have to remove some activities depending on time* *Might just pick either pick activity 6
or activity 7*

- Variation of balls of different shapes and sizes~Gator balls, tennis balls etc.
- Buckets or baskets
- Cones~20
