MATH TRICKS:

1.) WHAT’S MY ANGLE?


- This math trick is about the topic of clocks and angles. This trick’s goal is to further help
the grade 7 students with their understanding of angles in a circle, and to enhance their
knowledge in circles. We used clocks as an example to make things easier for them to
define each angle.
- In a clock (A full circle), the angle is 360 degrees.
- HOW TO DEFINE ANGLES USING CLOCK: We will explain each angle of a circle such
as 360 degrees, 180 degrees, 90 degrees, 30 degrees, and 15 degrees.
- ACTIVITY - WHAT’S MY ANGLE?: we will provide a problem from easiest to hardest.
Every person in class will be given candies, and those three who participated in the
hardest part and got the correct answer will be given candies and cookies.
- 12 o'clock to 12 o'clock - 360°
- 12 o'clock to 6 o'clock - 180°
- 12 o'clock to 3 o'clock - 90°
- 1 o'clock to 2 o'clock - 30 degrees

2.) EASY 2 SQUARE!


- This math trick is about the topic of multiplication. Its goal is to help the students to
square any number between 1 - 99 in a fast and fascinating way.
- HOW TO DO:
1.) Square the first number.
2.) Square the last number.
3.) To get the middle digit, multiply the first digit, last
digit, and 2.

● If the product for the middle digit is more than one digit,
carry the first digit of the product and add it to the left. If there
are 3 digits, carry the first and second digits of the product to the left.
