Introductory activity
““ The teacher says … “

Students will perform whatever the teacher says in reverse.

Like if the teacher says, “ The teacher says right hand." Students will raise
their left hand. For the left hand, the right hand will be raised. For the left
leg, the right leg will be raised, and vice versa. If the word UP is being
mentioned, the students will sit DOWN and if down, then they will stand
up. The teacher must include the phrase “The teacher says…” first in giving
instruction so that students will perform accordingly. However, if the
teacher only mentioned left hand, right hand, left leg, right leg, up, and
down, the phrase “the teacher says…” is not heard, the students will just
do nothing.

2. Explore
Oral Recitation with a twist

The class will be divided into five groups. Each group will pick a sound of
10 minutes animals, which serves as their yell. If your group number is called all
members, should stand and present their animal sounds. Followed by
the answer of the question. Each group will be given 2 chances only.

the size of one exterior angle, which is 72°. The answer is 360° ÷ 72° = 5
sides.

The nonagon has 8 sides and we plug this value into our formula:

S = 180(9 - 2)

= 1260°

Hence the sum of the measures of the interior angles in an octagon is


1260°.

Example 2: find the sides of this polygon if the sum of its interior angle is
