4A’S SEMI-DETAILED LESSON PLAN

I. OBJECTIVES
At the end of this lesson, students are expected to:
• Identify the Abbreviations and Meanings of floor plan
• Sketch basic Plumbing Symbols based on provided description
• Know the Importance of Plumbing Symbols in Floor Plan

II. SUBJECT MATTER


Topic: Plumbing (Types of Symbol in Floor Plan)
Materials: Laptop, Power Point Presentation, LCD Projector
Duration: 3 Hours

III. PROCEDURE

Preliminary Activities

Prayer
- “Before we start, can someone lead us in prayer?”

Greetings
- “Good morning class!”

Checking of Attendance
- (Checking the attendance of students)
“Very good class, all are present today”

Motivation
- Scramble Word/Guess the Word

Activity
- Ask students if they have ever seen a floor plan and if they know what are the
symbols on it represent.
- Show example of floor plan with plumbing symbol and discuss their
important.
- Ask students why it’s essential for architects, engineers and
contractors to understand plumbing symbols in floor plans.

Analysis
- Show common plumbing abbreviations and symbols.
- Discuss each symbols meaning and its significance in floor plan.

Abstraction
- Showing video presentation on how to sketch basic plumbing
symbols in floor plan.
- Demonstrate on how to sketch basic plumbing types of symbols in
floor plan.
- Provide opportunities of student to practice sketching the
types of symbol in floor plan.

Application
- Divide the class into small groups and give each group sample
floor plan without plumbing symbols.
- Instruct each group to sketch the plumbing symbols based on
provided description and abbreviation.
- Give them enough time on the said activity.
- Present their completed floor plan, explaining the placement
and significance of the plumbing symbol they added.

IV. Evaluation
Evaluate students based on their ability to accurately identify and
sketch plumbing symbols, as well as their participation in group
discussions and activities.

V. Assignment
Study the lesson for the quiz next meeting.
