Disaster preparedness has the potential save the maximum number of lives and property during a
disaster, and it aims to return the affected populations to normalcy as quickly as possible. During calamities
or emergencies, it is very important to know and learn how to respond properly. It is advisable that each one
of us to have an understanding towards the risk and hazards that is why it is relevant to put time into
planning and preparation long before the disaster strikes. Doing this activity, I have been reminded of my
responsibility in safeguarding my family and myself in times of disaster. Making sure that they will also be
aware on what to do before, during and after a calamity.
