eruptions on almost annual basis. Despite the fertile soil, the damages related to the volcanic

 There are several actions to be taken in order to be safe before an eruption. First, when
you get a warning to evacuate as the volcano has nearly reached the red alert, do not wait until
it is too late. Next, you need to keep up-to-date with the news from national and local authorities
for any safety and evacuation plans. It is beneficial to have a list of disaster hotlines in case of
emergency, too. Finally, you have to prepare things while you are at home. Take for example,
you charge all the gadgets when the electricity is still available, and get a go-bag filled with
necessary items such as masks, batteries, flashlight, portable water bottles, non-perishable
food, and first aid kit (Coinsph, 2020).
When you are indoor, you had better block windows, doors, and other open structures.
Moreover, making the curtains slightly wet will be helpful to counter the fine particles from
coming into. You need to cover food and water from them as well. Other than that, you also
should understand what to do if you are outdoor. Because of ash and other hazardous
materials, it is safer to wear an N95 dust mask and protect your skin and eyes. Another
important way is to seek a secured place as soon as possible. So, avoiding the rivers due to the
lava flows and pulling over are wise decisions. The steps above will assure your safety during
an eruption (Coinsph, 2020).
After the eruption, you cannot let your guard down right away in order to be safe. You
have to stay at where you are until the authorities give a green light. In addition, you need to
watch over the family members, especially children, since being in a confined space under
certain circumstance can be boring and may trigger them to go outside. Besides that, waiting for
further information on the current situation from the authorities should be done (Coinsph, 2020).
In conclusion, you have to study the safety precautions before, during, and after a
volcanic eruption. By understanding these, you will have a greater opportunity to stay secured.
