What is Chinese New Year?
● Also known as Lunar New
Year or Spring Festival
because countries such as
North and South Korea, and
Vietnam celebrate it as well!

It marks the beginning of

Chinese New Year is BIG!

● The most celebrated festival in the Chinese culture


● The celebrations lasts for 15 days

believed that if you do, you
are washing away good luck!
● Don’t cut your hair - it is
believed you will cut away

Year is called 拜年 (bài nián) -
身體健康 “shēntǐ jiànkāng” - good health this literally translates to pay a
出入平安 “chū rù píng ān” - peace visit for the New Years
wherever you go
