PROJECT TITLE: Design a simple High Pass RC Filter using basic blocks.
AIMS AND OBJECTIVES OF THE PROJECT:
The primary aim of this project is to design, simulate, and analyze a High Pass RC Filter using MATLAB
Simulink. The objectives are threefold: firstly, to design a Simulink model incorporating fundamental blocks
that represent the High Pass RC Filter circuit. Secondly, to simulate the filter's performance under diverse
input signals examining its frequency response and dynamic behavior. Thirdly, to conduct a detailed analysis
of the simulation results, evaluating the filter's cutoff frequency, gain, and phase shift characteristics. By
achieving these objectives, the project aims to provide insights into the practical implementation and
performance of a basic High Pass RC Filter using Simulink, offering a valuable learning experience in signal
processing and filter design.
SURVEY:
A high-pass RC filter, crucial for selectively passing high-frequency signals in various applications like audio
processing and communication, can be easily designed and analyzed in Simulink. This survey delves into
building such a filter using basic blocks.By simulating and analyzing the output in both time and frequency
domains using FFT, we'll gain insights into the filter's characteristics. We'll also explore customization
options, like varying component values or introducing inductorsc to create more complex filters. Ultimately,
this survey empowers us to understand and design high-pass RC filters effectively using Simulink.
EXPERIMENTAL CIRCUIT DIAGRAM:

In Simulink, a simple high-pass RC filter is built with interconnected blocks. Here a Sine wave sending its
signal to a Sum block, where it meets a filtered version of itself. This filtered version takes a detour through a
Resistor and Capacitor, blocking low frequencies. Both signals then merge in the Sum, creating a high-pass
output. A Gain fine-tunes the strength and finally, the Scope showcases the transformed signal and ready for
analysis.
