Trojan Horses
A non-replicating computer virus planted illegally in another seemly harmless program to do damage locally when
the software is activated.

Why the name

Trojan Horse?
A myth from the Trojan War, the King of Troy allows a wooden horse into his city, thinking it’s a gift. Little did the
Trojans know, the horse was hallow and inside were Greek Soldiers. During the night, the Greeks emerged from
the horse and attacked the city.

What is it used for?

Illicit income
credit card info
Botnets
spam email
attack multiple websites to control a network
obtain personal information
victims contact lists to infect more computers
