Wearing of Office Attire

Purpose: For proper identification of employees and for professional image

Standards:
1. Dress Code 1.1. Employee’s ID must be worn at all times w/in office premises;
1.2. Officials must follow schedule of dress code:
a. Monday – Gray Uniform
b. Tuesday – Green Uniform
c. Wednesday – Brown Uniform
d. Thursday – Off White Uniform
e. Friday – Free Style subject to the provision of CSC MC No. 19, series 2000
1.3. On Fridays, employees shall remain in an appropriate business attire, wearing of
“maong” pants, although generally prohibited, may be considered as appropriate
attire when paired with a collared polo/shirt (for male employees), or any
appropriate blouse or shirt (for female employees).
1.4. The following are strictly prohibited:
a. Gauzy, transparent or net-like shirt or blouse and skimpy dress;
b. Sando, strapless or spaghetti-strap blouses (unless worn as an undershirt)
c. Sandals, bakya and Slippers (except those with special medical
conditions);
d. Tattered jeans, micro-mini skirt, walking shorts, cycling shorts, leggings,
tights, jogging pants; and
e. Other attire that reveals awrat (for Muslim employees)
1.5. Other Prohibitions:
a. Ostentatious display of jewelry, except for special occasions and during
official celebrations; and
b. Wearing of heavy or theatrical make-up
1.6. The following employees are exempted from strictly wearing of office uniforms:
a. Those on official business outside the office;
b. Those who are in the state of mourning;
c. Pregnant women; and
d. Those who are engaged in work which entails the soiling or dirtying of
clothes (i.e. mechanics, maintenance personnel and the likes provided that
it is approved by their respective supervisors).

Purpose: For professionalism of employees and adherence to Civil Service requirements

Standards:
1. Employees 1.1. Civil Service rule on prescribed office hours and no noon break policy must be
observed;
1.2. On Fridays, the working hours for Muslim employees is from 7:00 AM to 10:00
AM and 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM.
1.3. Approved locator slip (official/personal transactions) must be secured before
leaving office premises during office hours;
1.4. Observe policies on Leave, Absenteeism and Tardiness, as well as policies on
Half-Day Absence and Undertime;
1.5. Loud noises and unnecessary conversations among employees are discouraged;
1.6. Conservation of energy should be practiced;
1.7. Proper protocol must be observed and followed;
1.8. Deadlines must be met;
1.9. Commend, Comment, Recommend;
1.10. “Clean as you go” (CLAYGO) must be practiced at all times;
1.11. Disclosing of confidential information to unauthorized personnel and visitors
must be prohibited;
1.12. Risk-based Assessment on security measures should be conducted regularly;
1.13. Personnel shall be required to undergo workplace safety and security
training/drills such as fire and earthquake drills.
1.14. Employees must undergo drug test as part of the crime-free workplace
promotion.
1.15. Shall report to the supervisor any work hazard that may be discovered in the
workplace (RA 11058, Chapter III, Sec. 4 b)
1.16. Playing social media and online games is prohibited during working hours
1.17. Selling inside the office is discouraged
1.18. Respect for colleagues’ personal space and privacy;
1.19. Discrimination, harassment, abuse and bullying is highly prohibited;
1.20. Use of company supplies and equipment must be for work-related purposes
only
2. Visitors 2.1. Should submit for inspection and log at the front desk/ reception area;
2.2. Any visitor who refuse to sign in shall not be entertained, save for Directors and
Top Management;
2.3. Visitor’s ID should be worn at all times when inside the office premises;
2.4. Visitors should not transact directly to the concerned staff’s cubicles;
a. The officer in charge of front desk should call the attention of responsible
staff to cater the visitor at the reception area
2.5. Vendors should not be allowed to vend/sell inside the offices;
2.6. Should not be allowed to loiter inside the premises of the office;
2.7. Should be address professionally no matter the situation;
2.8. Should be properly guided to the entrance and exit of the building.
