Event / Contest Modern Hiphop Dance Contest


Guidelines and Mechanics
1. Students must be a bonafide student of Tayug National High School. Each group shall have
6-12 members who may either composed of all male or female, or a combination of both.
2. Free choice of Music as long it is not political, vulgar and offensive.
3. Performance should have a minimum of three (3) minutes and a maximum of five (5) minutes
including entrance exit.
4. Routine must consist primarily of modern hip hop techniques such as street dance, freestyle,
punk, pop-n-rock.
5. Participants should perform the entirety of the music (no in and out).
6. Decency of costumes and steps must be observed accordingly. No political, alcohol, tobacco
or drug advertisements, are to be shown on any clothing or part of the performance.
Removing of pieces of clothes during performance is allowed provided it is not offensive or out
of character.
7. Dangerous routines (stunts, tumbling, throwing, body dropping, rolls and the likes) are NOT
ALLOWED to avoid any untoward accidents or injuries and will be DISQUALIFIED.
8. Only hand held props are allowed. Use of pyrotechnics, sharp objects, combustion machine
are discouraged.
9. No crossed dressing.

Criteria for Judging:

Choreography 40%
Dexterity/Hip Hop Technique 30%
Timing/Synchronization 15%
Stage Deportment/Costume 15%
Total 100%
