ZUMBA Mechanics and Guidelines:

1.Each group shall be composed of all student of every section to perform.


2. Members of the group may be composed of all males or females.
3. Order of Performances will be based on the number they had picked prior to the
contest.
4. No Professional dancers or trainers be Part of the group.
6. Music and Choreography should be wholesome and lively must not contains any
subliminal, sexually suggestive and vulgar lyrics / language or suggestive act.
7. The Group Contest should contain at least 60% in modernized/stylized music and is in
fast modern tempo.
8. The Performance must be at least minimum of 5 minutes but not more than 7 minutes.
9. Use of props will be allowed as long as it will not cause any delay in the program and
any harm to the performance of other groups
10. Appropriate clothing should be observed throughout the competition. Attire may
include accessories such hats, caps, gloves, scarves, jewelries, etc. removing pieces of
clothing during the performance is allowed provided that it is not offensive or out of the
character.

CHEERDANCE MECHANICS AND GUIDELINES:

1. . Each group shall be composed of all student of every section to perform.


2. All performers must consist of both male and female and bona fide enrolled students of
the school.
3. The entire duration of the performance must not exceed for (7) minutes, inclusive of 30
seconds pre-setting and 30 seconds exit/pack-up and clean-up.
4. The Performance must be at least minimum of 5 minutes but not more than 7 minutes,
including the cheers and yell of the team.
5. The cheers and yells must always promote the team they represent. Loudness and
clearness of the words is encouraged, Profanity and other inappropriate language are
strictly prohibited.
6. During the presentation of cheers and yells of the group, other team must keep quite in
order to hear the cheers and yells clearly. The noise team will be deducted for the most
discipline award for judging.
 Routines may be accompanied by canned music and/ or a band of the department they
represent.
 Routines must be appropriate for family viewing. Any vulgar or suggestive movements,
words, or music may result in disqualification. Uniforms must also be decent.
 All props must be registered and cleared with the organizer prior to the performance.
Pyrotechnics and other similar dangerous or hazardous props are strictly prohibited.
There is a limit of only two (2) handheld “safe props” to be used by the performers (ex.
Pompoms. Flag lets, placards) plus one banner/ streamer to be provided by the
organizer’s sponsor.
 Pyramid formation is only allowed up to level 1 only
 There shall be no dangerous lifting formation during the presentation to avoid any
accident or serious injuries.
