“A RESOLUTION REQUESTING THE LOCAL GOVERNMENT UNIT OF TANJAY CITY THRU HONORABLE CITY
MAYOR REYNALDO S. CONCEPCION, TO ALLOCATE ADDITIONAL FUNDS FOR THE EXTENSION OF FLOOD
CONTROL SYSTEM ALONG TANJAY CITY RIVER IN SITIO ILAYA, BARANGAY POBLACION 4 TANJAY CITY.

WHEREAS, during heavy rains, the water from the upper stream of Tanjay City River will overflow that resulted
to flash floods wherein most of the residents living along the area are very much affected;

WHEREAS, during the ocular visit of Engr. Chester Reyes from the Engineering Department of LGU – Tanjay
City, after the wrath and fury of tropical depression “Vicky”, he had the chance to see for himself the status and dismal
condition of the residents living the said area.

WHEREAS, in the official pronouncement of Engr. Reyes, he has urged the Sangguniang Barangay of Barangay JEAN PAULA R. DAEL
Poblacion 4 to pass a Resolution requesting the Local Government Unit of Tanjay City thru Honorable City Mayor
Reynaldo S. Concepcion to allocate additional funds for the construction of the flood control system in the said area to
avoid overflowing of water;

NOW THEREFORE, viewed from the foregoing, and on motion of Hon. Cristito F. Ortiz, Kagawad, mass
seconded, be it

RESOLVED, as this Body does hereby resolve, to request the Local Government Unit of Tanjay City thru
Honorable City Mayor Reynaldo S. Concepcion, to allocate additional funds for the extension of flood control system
along Tanjay City River in Sitio Ilaya, Barangay Poblacion 4 Tanjay City;

RESOLVED FURTHER, to forward a copy of this resolution to the Local Government Unit of Tanjay City thru
Honorable City Mayor Reynaldo S. Concepcion, copy furnished to the offices of the DILG-CLGOO, Barangay Affairs and
the City Accountant;

WHEREAS, Barangay Poblacion 4, is a coastal village where scores of residential houses were erected few
meters away from the coastline and therefore life and limb of residents threat are dangerously at risk during typhoons and
unexpected natural calamities;

WHEREAS, along the coastline, a limited length of Seawall was already constructed and the need to extend
further the length of the Seawall is necessary in order to protect and secure the residents in the area during calamities
and natural disasters;

WHEREAS, during the ocular visit of Engr. Chester Reyes from the Engineering Department of LGU – Tanjay JEAN PAULA R. DAEL
City, after the wrath and fury of tropical depression “Vicky”, he had the chance to see for himself the status and dismal

“A RESOLUTION REQUESTING THE LOCAL GOVERNMENT UNIT OF TANJAY CITY THRU HONORABLE CITY

MAYOR REYNALDO S. CONCEPCION TO ALLOCATE FUNDS FOR THE IMPROVEMENT AND REHABILITATION OF
BARANGAY ROADS IN TWO SITIOS IN THE BARANGAY SPECIFICALLY SITIO CATIAO-TIAO AND PIAPI,
BARANGAY POBLACION 4, TANJAY CITY

WHEREAS, upon observations of the Sangguniang Barangay of Barangay Poblacion 4, there are two (2) Sitios
in the barangay, namely Sitio Piapi and Sitio Catiao-tiao has poor and bad condition of Street road, due to heavy
downpour and heavy equipment trucks passed by.

WHEREAS, the poor condition of these roads is taking a heavy toll on the commuters, considering that these
streets are among the busiest thoroughfares in the Barangay, because visitors from other cities and neighbouring

barangays will pass by on that streets going to the “Boulevard”

WHEREAS, in cognizance of the role of the Local Government Unit in improving its road network, since the
Barangay has no enough funds to sustain the said need, the Sangguniang Barangay of Barangay Poblacion 4 passed the
Resolution No. 05, Series of 2021, requesting the Local Government Unit of Tanjay City thru Honorable City Mayor
Reynaldo S. Concepcion to include in his 2021 priority projects the proposed road improvement and rehabilitation in Sitio
Catiao – tiao and Sitio Piapi to ensure the provision of smooth delivery of basic services and facilities.
